ABOUT ME

“With every tattoo, I feel more like myself – as if my outside is finally catching up to who I am inside.”

I’m Tania – but most people call me Tanne. I’m a tattoo artist, visual creator, and studio owner based in Vesterbro, Copenhagen.

My journey into tattooing didn’t follow a straight line. It started with a gift: a tattoo machine from my sister. For over two years, it sat quietly on a shelf. Not because I lacked interest, but because drawing had always been something sacred. Private. It was how I made sense of the world — a quiet, inner language I wasn’t sure I was ready to share.

Before I became a full-time artist, I worked as a teacher — and I loved it. I discovered how much I value human connection: guiding others, collaborating as equals, holding space for growth. That spirit remains at the center of my work today.

My studio isn’t just a workplace – it’s a safe, intentional space where people can be fully themselves. That will always matter more than anything else.

I grew up in a creative, independent family and spent much of my childhood attending a private art school. There, I explored everything from sculpture and mixed media to abstract theory and technical drawing. It gave me freedom. And it taught me to see art not as a discipline, but as a way of being.

Even in artistic settings, I kept my work hidden — shelves of sketchbooks no one had seen. But something shifted when I began tattooing friends. It was intimate. Transformative. Within six months, I opened my first studio. Today, I run my third.

My Work

To me, tattooing is not just a visual craft — it’s a deeply personal ritual. Every piece is a conversation between body and identity, between emotion and form.

I work intuitively and collaboratively. I listen closely, I ask questions, and I give space. A tattoo session with me isn’t rushed or transactional — it’s a co-creation. A quiet unfolding.

My style is organic and body-conscious. I don’t believe in hiding — I believe in highlighting. I focus on working with the natural lines of the body, enhancing what already exists. Every design is one of a kind. While client references are always welcome, I reimagine each piece through my own artistic lens.

Outside tattooing, I work with yarn, fabric, paint, and found objects. Sustainability and intention are central to how I create — which is why I never begin the design process without an upfront deposit. It helps me honor time, energy, and material with care.

My Mission

In a world shaped by rigid norms — especially those built for the neurotypical — it can be hard to feel at home in yourself. I know that feeling. I’ve lived it.

Identifying as neurodivergent gave me language, but more importantly, it gave me clarity:

There is no single way to exist meaningfully. No right path. No perfect pace.

My mission is to create spaces — physical and emotional — where people feel seen. Where they feel safe enough to explore, express, and expand. My studio is rooted in that intention: calm, unpressured, and free from judgment.

I also teach courses in drawing and tattooing — open to anyone curious about exploring their creative process, regardless of experience level. These sessions are small, personal, and built on mutual respect.
